Israel is a leading supplier for the global telecommunications industry, with products and services ranking among the world’s most sophisticated and advanced of their kind. In 2003, the Israeli export market for telecommunication equipment was $2.54 billion, representing a growth rate of 83% since 1998. Government policy, which has been thoroughly revised over the past 10 years, has transformed the Israeli telecom sector market, once dominated by the government, into a highly competitive, customer-focused, technology driven industry.
Israel's advanced national telecommunication infrastructure (100% digital network) allows high-tech companies to compete on an equal basis with their competitors abroad.
